THE KALPITA RANE-SAWANT ARTICLE
Today we are proud of our Indian culture and its art forms. But still we see that classical art forms have remained restricted to a class audience. There is not enough exposure for classical dance and not enough audience who understands it.
We are making an effort to have more festivals and stages for classical art forms but what we lack is the audience for it.
Among 10 children only one, on an average, is facilitated to learn classical art forms in private. Not enough efforts are taken to bring out the awareness amongst young minds to develop a liking or interest towards our very own art forms.
Indian classical art forms enable oneself to identify his or her emotional and physical needs, while giving them the confidence to survive in today’s highly competitive world.

If classical art form training becomes an integral part of academics, it will serve not only the purpose of personality development among children, but also imbibe in the young minds, the beauty and virtues of the Indian culture, values, and morals through their regular learning process. If it becomes a subject in regular schooling, classical art forms can be understood by the common man, resulting in a ripple effect wherein their essence can be tasted and leveraged even by the masses.
It will connect the young minds with their original cultural roots and create awareness amongst them to propagate and promote our original Indian art forms. Learning classical dance brings forth an overall holistic development among children. It enables oneself to identify his or her emotional and physical needs, while giving them the confidence to survive in today’s highly competitive world. It not only acts as a stress buster but also an intellectual booster which allows oneself to achieve multitasking.
If more members of the society start to understand and appreciate our classical art forms, more platforms would be available for their promotion and probably we can see masses enjoying the flavor of these art forms with quality entertainment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624011263768{padding-top: 3% !important;padding-bottom: 3% !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row enable_arrows_animation=”no” css=”.vc_custom_1474355814165{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]
